Eligibility Criteria
- Junior CSP: Physicians in their first two years of specialist training
- CSP: Physicians with at least two years of specialist training, and dentists up to four years post state examination.
- Early-Advanced CSP: Board-certified specialist physicians within two years after completion of specialist training
Your tasks
University Medicine Greifswald (UMG) invites applications for Clinician Scientist positions within the interdisciplinary Clinician Scientist Program (CSP) “Meeting the Challenges of Chronic Age-Related Diseases in Rural Areas”. The program is designed to integrate clinical training with scientific research, enabling participants to pursue specialist medical qualifications and achieve habilitation or equivalent academic accomplishments.Program Focus and Research Areas
The program emphasizes UMG’s core research areas of -Community Medicine, Molecular Medicine and Digital Health. A particular focus lies in the translation of scientific findings into healthcare practice, especially in rural and underserved regions.
The CSP is structured into three career-stage-specific tracks:
- Junior CSP
- CSP
- Early-Advanced CSP
During the fellowship, participants will be granted 20 or 50% release from clinical duties (program dependent, see below) to carry out experimental or epidemiological research projects and to develop their individual scientific profile. Research activities are complemented by:
- A structured curriculum including professional development workshops
- Networking and collaboration opportunities
- Mentoring by senior clinicians and researchers
Positions Available
- Junior CSP: 3 positions, 2- year program, 20% research time.
- CSP: 4 positions, 3-year program, 50% research time.
- Early-Advanced CSP: 4 positions, 2-year program, 50% research time.
