RWTH Aachen University is one of Germany鈥檚 pre-eminent Universities of Excellence and is renowned for its high-quality teaching and world-class research. We are inviting applications for a junior professor position in the area of sustainable subsurface planning and engineering, to be filled as soon as possible. This is a joint appointment with Fraunhofer IEG in the Karlsruhe model.

Research activities should cover a broad range of engineering topics in the field of sustainable utilization, operation and evaluation of underground cavities and systems for the subsurface storage of energy and materials.
