Within the MODAL campus, the MedLab focuses on the development and validation of AI-supported methods for the analysis of biomedical data and the secure integration of AI technologies into clinical and biotechnological applications. A central focus is the development of a platform for the validation of AI applications in healthcare, which ensures the safety and transparency of AI-based systems through advanced monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
Job description:
- Research and development in the field of AI-supported analysis of biomedical data
- Implementation and evaluation of methods for AI validation and model interpretability
- Contribution to the development of a platform for monitoring and documenting AI applications
- Collaboration with academic and industrial partners in the MODAL research campus
- Publication of research results in scientific journals
Requirements:
Completed academic university degree (Master鈥檚, Diploma) in a scientific subject (e. g. Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or related fields)
Desirable:
- Excellent programming skills in Python
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e. g. TensorFlow, PyTorch) and Explainable AI (XAI)
- Experience with machine learning and/or AI-based methods for data analysis
- Experience in processing and analyzing biomedical data, especially time series data
- Experience in the field of high-performance computing
- Knowledge of validation and documentation of AI systems, especially in healthcare
- Strong teamwork skills, initiative, and motivation
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken
