The Institute of Elementary and Primary Education in the Department of Educational Sciences at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main is seeking to fill the position of an(Associated) Lecturer (m/f/d)
initially for three years as an Associated Lecturer with the option of permanent appointment as a Lecturer. The position is assigned to the Advanced Teaching Track as part of the university's permanent position concept Karrierewege@Goethe and is linked to a tenure track; after three years, the position will be terminated if the evaluation is positive. If an applicant already has all the necessary qualifications and relevant professional experience after completing the doctorate, an immediate permanent appoint-ment as a Lecturer is possible following external assessment in accordance with the procedure laid down in the university's permanent position concept (see point 2.5 in the following link: ). The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-G-U).
Responsibilities:
You will participate in the teaching and research tasks of the Institute of Elementary and Primary Education, contribute to a diverse and target group-oriented range of courses in the primary school teaching degree programme (L1) and in educational science and enrich it with an educational science perspective, which primarily addresses primary school pedagogical issues with special consideration of heterogeneity/inclusion, the didactics of multi-perspective subject teaching and teaching-related aspects of aes-thetic education and upbringing.
You will teach as an Associated Lecturer for 8 LVS and as a Lecturer for 12 LVS, primarily in the modules L1-AGD A (General Primary School Pedagogy and Didactics), L1-AGD D (Sachunterricht, SU-S1 + SU-S9), L1-脛1 (脛sthetische Bildung) and BW-B [Unterricht] and BW-C [Erziehung] and are prepared to teach in other modules as required. They examine in the First State Examination in the subjects General Primary School Didactics and Educational Science.
As an Associated Lecturer, you will qualify for the organizational tasks involved in teaching and learning. This includes tasks in the area of course planning, internship supervision and coordinative tasks in departmental initiatives and degree programs. There is an obligation to undergo regular further training in higher education didactics or to expand the teaching portfolio.
For the duration of employment as an Associated Lecturer, a proportion of self-determined research is part of the job description for academic qualification. Further qualification is carried out independently in accordance with the requirements set out in a target agreement.

- completed academic university degree (teaching degree, Master's degree or comparable) in the field of educational science and/or related humanities/social science subjects
- Doctorate in educational science
- relevant empirical research experience in the field of primary school education and in particular in the field of subject teaching
- relevant teaching experience in the field of primary school education and subject teaching
- teaching expertise in the field of aesthetic education
- Willingness to teach in English
