The Faculty of Medicine at the Johannes Kepler University Linz is celebrating its 10th anniversary and is sending out a strong signal for the further development of basic research. As part of a targeted impulse program, the faculty is announcing the establishment of six Young Research Groups. The aim is to give outstanding young scientists the opportunity to establish independent research groups in pioneering medical fields.Â
Your tasks
- Independent research activities in the research fields of the KFI
- Inflammatory medicine
- Establishment and management of a junior research group (with two PraeDoc positions)
- Participation in research work of the KFI Inflammatory medicine
- Participation in teaching
- Supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses
- Participation in academic self-administration
Your profile
- Completed studies with a doctorate/Ph.D. in medicine, natural sciences or a related field
- Independent research program in the field of Inflammatory medicine
- First experiences with the acquisition of competitive third-party funded projects
- Teaching skills and experience at Bachelor's and Master's level
- Experience abroad and involvement in international research
- Publications in leading (inter)national peer-reviewed journals
- Very good knowledge of German and English (German level C1, English level C1)
Your benefits
- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 4,932.90 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
